Land Acknowledgment
Land acknowledgment is a formal recognition of the indigenous peoples on whose traditional territories we now live and work. Increasingly, educators, clergy, librarians, and other professionals are pausing for such acknowledgments before events like lectures, classes, meetings, and ceremonies. Denise and Paul Pouliot from the Cowasuck Band of the Pennacook-Abenaki People will explain the value and goals of land acknowledgments and guide you in the process of carrying them out. Register to get an invitation to the Zoom event.
